Hello,

I have a Denon AVR-1707 which I'm attempting to get the Zone 2 Audio working on. I have chosen the Zone 2 amplification mode on the receiver and I hear the "static" coming from the speaker connected to the Zone 2 but do not get any audio out of it, only out of the A and B speakers. Any suggestions on what I can try. I"m currently using Stereo mode.

Thank you.

My first thought was you might not be able to use A&B together (let alone the impedance issues that can create) along with zone 2 but the manual actually pictures them all connected....(with impedance warnings for A&B and zone 2). You did turn zone 2 on, yes? What type of source/connection are you playing to test?

I'm playing off a Bluetooth receiver connected to the Aux port but have tried other ports as well.

Also, to clarify, I'm not using A&B together currently, only A or B. Yes, I did turn zone 2 on, I switch it on, I can here it amp up and I see the zone 2 display on the front display panel.

Almost as dumb a question as the on/off one, but has caught me wondering why isn't zone 2 playing....you changed input for zone 2 to aux? Do the amp channels work as rear surrounds for the main zone okay? Nothing in input assignment that would get in the way? All I can think of....

Not a dumb question as I didn't realize you could change the source input on zone 2. It is now working. Thank you for the help!
