Zone 2 and My Subwoofer

I have a Denon 2106, I have the power amp assign to surround back/zone 2. I am running 5.1. Is there a way to turn off the sub for the zone 2 since the sub is in the living room and the zone 2 speakers are out at the pool. Also can I buy a cord to extend the IR out to the pool so I can use the remote out there, Preferably something simple that is not powered, just a long cable maybe. Thanks for your help as always.

If you can't turn Zone1 OFF separately, try assigning Zone1 to an unused input source. Then assign Zone2 to your desired input source.

If things are wired and set up properly, the sub should not work using Zone 2. Your local Radio Shack should be able to help with the IR issue.

Remote extension

Buy the RF remote control extender from parts express ($50) or a good universial remote like the MX-600 ($130) which includes RF. They have a 200 foot range so you should be able to use it out at the pool without repeaters, power adapters, and additional wiring.

I already have a 880. So I plan to use the Denon remote with an IR extender at the pool.
This is another problem I am having
I ran a coax cable from my computer to my Denon Rec in the other room through the attic. I can get a digital signal, but the reciever can not send a digital signal to zone 2 on the rec. So I went out and bought a mini plug splitter thinking it would split the signal howver it does not split the signal, it sends sound to 1 speaker. Does anyone know how to split the signal and get sound from both speakers.
I could run digital to the denon but then you can't use the rec in the main room. I can listen to music at the pool and family can watch dvd if set to zone 2.

Zone 2 only uses the stereo analog input sources. No digital to Zone 2.
