So on occasion, when I turn my system on and my tv screen come on there is a re-occuring note that comes up telling me that some YrPb... something something is disabled and "press exit" to continue... What is this??? Should I be calling my cable company and complaining or am I idioholic?

P.S. the message is coming from the cable box and not from the TV.

That's your component video output.

Does that help explain it? If not, let us know what equipment you're using, and we might be able to help better (sorry if you have it listed somewhere else and I've missed/forgotten it).

I'm assuming for now that you have the Explorer 8300HD. If not, just let me know.

In case you don't have the manual(s), there are some good documents at this link here.

Perhaps running the Setup Wizard (page 3 of the user's guide) would help. It says to do that whenever you change connections, so maybe it would get rid of that annoying message. If not, I'd say contact the cable company. They should earn their money sometimes, right? :)
