Your take on best digital AV Receiver. Please Help!

I need to replace my Harmon Kardon 320 with a high end digital AV unit. I have a new 60" DLP HDTV with a HDMI connection, 6.1 speakers, progressive DVD unit, and Dish satellite. So, we mostly view DVD movies and watch HDTV with some music. What do you suggest. Again, I want the latest and best. Thanks.

How about a budget? "Latest and Best" could mean Denon's new bizzillion-dollar AVR-5805, but I'm guessing you don't want to spend $6000 on a receiver...or do you?

My budget is from $1500 to $2000 -- the discounted price.

In that price range would look at Arcam (avr100, 200 or 300 5yr warranty) first, then possibly Rotel or NAD.
