Yet another Paradigm comparison

I've been lurking on this site for a few months now and would like to thank everyone for their insights.

I currently have a 6.1 Paradigm Cinema 70 series being driven by a Yammie RXV-2500. For home theater, it sounds fine but I am of course disappointed when listening to music. I am severely limited in the space available for the front speakers and thus cannot put anything much bigger than what I already have there. I think I could squeeze in some Paradigm Atoms but that's about as big as I think will fit (I'd love to go to the Monitor or Studio series but they just won't fit). Will upgrading the fronts to Atoms and a CC-270 make much difference in the sound as far as music is concerned? Thanks!

Go with either a Focus or better yet an Esprit. I'm assuming you would put the atom's on stands?? If you have no room for stands (using shelves?) get the Focus speakers - they sound much better than the atom for not much more money. Now if you can use stands or have "space", you should hear the Esprits, they are floor standing speakers but are no wider than the focus speakers. I had recently been using the Focus as my surrounds with the esprits as my fronts. For music (2-channel), they both sound great!!

Wait, I just read your post again.. It sounds like space is a big issue. Try the Focus speakers. Ther are approx. 2" wider and deeper than the atom's but produce far nicer sound.

Thanks for the response. I do have the speakers on stands currently. Height is not the issue. Depth is the biggest problem and to a lesser degree, width. I was all set to get the Monitor 5's until I realized they were too deep for my space. Anything in the Studio and Monitor lines is actually too deep.

I'm not that familiar with either Focus or Esprit and a quick search of the web didn't yield much for results.

Sorry. I thought you were talking manufacturers.

Since depth and width are my main concerns, I'm thinking I could get by with a "small footprint" tower such as an Energy Take TWR or Definitive Technology Mythos 4. Does anyone have any thoughts if these will improve sound significantly over the digm's? Does anyone know of any other manufacturers who make similar speakers? Thanks!

Forgot to add that I would of course replace the center with a similar model of the manufacturer of the "small footprint" towers to keep everything timbre matched across the front.
