I might have to hold off on the svs sub for now. Our next door neighbor gave us a sunfire sub like a year and a half ago, because he said he didn't need it. I haven't really used it at all because it makes an audible humming noise no matter where you plug it in. I might give it another shot, since I am already closing in on $5,000 over my original budget.
I have already set up an ISF calibration to be done. Magnolia home theaters is doing it. I bought some other stuff from them, and they are also programming my universal remote (I am terrified of those things!). I am also hiring one of the guys there to help with some of the wiring and construction stuff, but on his own time for half the cost. I was worried that by hiring outside help I would lose some of the pride of building it myself, but I decided to be logical, and regardless of what you guys think of the big box store employee's intelligence, he has installed alot more home theaters than I have, so between the two of us it should turn out nicely.
