It's finally purchased, after a year and a half of dreaming. I changed my mind at least 5 times on every component of the theater.

Sony VPL-VW50 "pearl" projector
Stewart 100" Studiotek 130 screen

Pioneer Elite 82TXS Receiver
Def Tech Speakers:
BP7004 Fronts
CLR2300 Center
RCS II In-Wall rear surrounds

Possibly a SVS PC 16-46 sub, depending on how the Def Tech subs perform...

Denon 2910 dvd player
HTPC w/ BeyondTV v4.5 (TiVo-like service)

Line conditioning and power protection from various Panamax models.

All A/V cables from Blue Jeans Cable

12 gauge speaker wire from home depot

Universal mx850 universal remote

That's about it i think. Now there's just some furniture left to buy, wooden blinds for the windows, and some construction. I am building a media cabinet in a closet that shares a wall with my home theater, so there will be a very clean look when it is done. I will have before and after pics on a separate thread when everything is finished in about 2 weeks.

Looks good:D I think you will like that projector. Have it ISF calibrated and mount it at its minimum distance if you can.

You'll want the SVS for HT, the powered woofers in the 7004s are really only good for music. When you set up the speakers, you can set them small with a 40Hz x-over.

Good for you!!!:D Looks like a great setup! I, too, did the waiting/searching game for about 1-1/2 yrs before I took the plunge this Christmas and bought a bunch of stuff. I'm still waiting on HDMI 1.3 to be available in some new receivers before I bite on one of them, however, to finish up for a couple of years. By then the DVD format war may be about over and 1080p pjs will be a lot less expensive :)

Hope you enjoy your new toys:D

I might have to hold off on the svs sub for now. Our next door neighbor gave us a sunfire sub like a year and a half ago, because he said he didn't need it. I haven't really used it at all because it makes an audible humming noise no matter where you plug it in. I might give it another shot, since I am already closing in on $5,000 over my original budget.

I have already set up an ISF calibration to be done. Magnolia home theaters is doing it. I bought some other stuff from them, and they are also programming my universal remote (I am terrified of those things!). I am also hiring one of the guys there to help with some of the wiring and construction stuff, but on his own time for half the cost. I was worried that by hiring outside help I would lose some of the pride of building it myself, but I decided to be logical, and regardless of what you guys think of the big box store employee's intelligence, he has installed alot more home theaters than I have, so between the two of us it should turn out nicely.
