Hi guys,

If I set up the speaker level in straight mode, does it carry over to all the DSP modes?

I am also having some issues with lip synking. Voices and sound are not spot on. I had a delay of 88 ms and everything was working fine, but the voices have not been in sink lately. Do you know a more systematic way on how to adjust the delay?

Thanks in advance!

Speaker level settings are global. It does not matter what sound mode the receiver is in when you set them up. They will be applied to all DSP modes and inputs except for the multi-channel analog input.

Lip sync is a tough one. Are you having lip sync issues when watching TV broadcasts? Blu-Rays? Sometimes TV broadcasts are simply out of sync and it is impossible to correct on the consumer end.

The voice issue is mostly with TV. So, should I set the BD discs and then let the TV broadcast be????? Thanks for your help.

I am not sure if the RX-V1700 has the necessary user presets for sound settings, but the RX-V2700 does, so that one can set the delay for more than one thing and then easily switch back and forth between them. If you do not have such presets, you can write down what works best for each and then manually redo the settings without having to reexamine what is best each time. You will want to consult with your manual to see if you have user settable presets for such things.
