Besides Gene's review here on Audioholics, has anyone found any others? Just looking for other opinions

Actually, I'm sick of waiting for mine to show up and I'm going nuts so I want to at least read more about it.

Waiting sucks.

It's awesome as a pre/pro and 2 channel amp. I have a B&K Ref 200.5 running my main 5 speakers. Very smoothe detailed sound. Great on 2 channel music. Great on hi res multi-channel music. Processing and surround steering is incredible. Drooling yet?:) If you don't have a universal player with i link then you need to get one. Now while your waiting for your 4600 to come in. Any other questions you need answered?

I won't be using it for a pre/pro right away. Got lots to pay for until I get another 2 channel amp. I'm basically going to compare it next to my NAD. whatever has the sound I'm looking for stays....the other gets shipped back to the store.

Your speakers, 4 or 8 ohms? And have you tried just using the receiver to power them and how did it handle it?

oh, and one more thing. How hard is it to adjust the center/sub/surround volumes? Do you have to go through oodles of on screen menu's to get there?

That is the one thing I love about the NAD. the controls for each channel are right on the remote. I can tweak anything without bugging anyone else in the room.

And does it have independent crossover settings per input?

I never used it to power my mains so I can't compare. I have Klipsch RF7s which are 8 ohms, but dip to 2.8 ohms on low frequencies. It has a fantastic gui, but you can adjust levels from the remote and receiver display. Also it has 6 seperate systm setting memories so you could set different crossover points.

but you can't assign different crossover settings for different inputs right? Just memory presets that you change to after you select a input

I'm not really asking for me. Just someone else I know looking at the amp and is wondering this for some reason. To me it's not a big deal.

I believe that is correct. But I haven't tried it because I use the same crossover point on all inputs. why would your friend need different crossover points on different inputs?

I have no idea what he's doing and why that's important to him. I set it the crossover and forget about it from that point on myself.
