Yammie 1500 vs 2500

i'm looking at the 1500 vs the 2500 to run a Klipsch RVX-42 speaker system. is the 2500 worth the extra bucks. AND what about internet purchases vs local retailers? the internet sellers are much cheaper, but don't have factory warranties. thanks for the input dc
