Composite to HDMI?!

You're doing yourself a big disservice using a Wii over composite.

Get some component cables :)

The 661 cannot pass component, composite, or svideo through hdmi. You have to either use the component out on the receiver to the TV or composite. I have my wii hooked up via component through mine with component to TV and it works fine.

Yeah the most it will upconvert to is component which is a bummer. Tell your clients to get some Wii component cables from monoprice. I paid 5 bucks for mine and work great. 480p looks a lot better than 480i with games.

If you don't feel like mail ordering them, BB ,Target, etc.... has component cables for the wii for 20 or less.

Will the Yamaha 661 convert Component Video to HDMI? One post says yes the other no. Although it is not necessary, I would like to only run one cable to the Plasma. I am currently using the monoprice component cable in my older system.

Will the Marantz SR-4002?

Both posts say that the 661 will not pass anything but HDMI over HDMI.
