Yamaha YSP-2200 no sound from TV connected devices

I have a Yamaha YSP-2200 with HDMI #1 connected to ARP connection on a Panasonic Smart TV. Yamaha YSP-2200 HDMI#2 is connected to a BLU-Ray player and HDMI#1 is connected to PS3. I have a AFN decoder box connected to video ports of the TV and a ROKU USB connected to HDMI port of TV. I cannot get the AFN decoder and ROKU sound out of the Sound bar. What I'm a doing wrong?

Hi, Matthew, and welcome to the forum!

By "ARP," I'm assuming that you meant "ARC." Also, you mentioned a couple of items connected to HDMI #1, so I'm guessing that's just a typo. You mentioned that your AFN decoder box is connected to video ports, so if it's not connected to an audio input on the TV, you won't get audio from it.

The first thing that I'd try is to connect the ARC HDMI jack on your Panasonic TV to the "OUT (ARC)" jack on the YSP-2200. That is the jack to use with ARC.

The second thing that I'd try if the above didn't work is to connect the optical audio output from the TV to one of the optical audio inputs on the YSP-2200. I say that because I'm not an ARC expert (I don't use it), and I don't know if your TV can output audio over that connection from other things connected to it.

Yes, that should be ARC/HDMI port on the TV, it is connected to HDMI#1 on the sound bar. This used to work before I moved, not sure what happened. I will need to purchase an audio optical cable to try this option.

Just to clarify - are you connecting the TV to the HDMI #1 input on the sound bar, or the HDMI output on the sound bar? If you aren't using the _output_ on the sound bar, try that. That is the port that is labeled for ARC on the sound bar.

Yes, I have a HDMI cable connected from sound bar Out/ARC port to TV's HDMI#1/ARC port. How often do HDMI cables go bad?
