Yamaha V659 vs. Onkyo SR703

Hi folks,
It seems pretty clear to me that the Yamaha V-659 is considered a lot of bang for your buck, and rated pretty well by the people here. I was all set to buy it. Now I find the Onkyo SR-703 has dropped a couple hundred dollars, putting it within $100 of the Yamaha and seems to have nearly identical specs..
I'm hoping someone here can give me nudge me toward one or the other....?

I can only speak on behalf of the 659, never having listened to the Onkyo.
I am very happy with my 659. Sound, power and features are more than adequate for my needs and match well with my Paradigm speakers.

I was convinced the 659 was ideal, but the price drop on the onkyo put it in the ballpark I am in. I guess the onkyo's "learning" remote intrigued me too.
Being a NOOB, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a great price on a great rcvr in the Onkyo. I appreciate your help.
