Yamaha v1900 or A800

I need a new receiver and had my eye on a Yamaha RX-V1900. I now see that the new series of receivers is out and wondered if the A800 would be a better choice or not. The V1900 has more power. They are a similar price at the moment. I really don't need 3D capability and I'm not pushing big speakers. Right now my mains are KEF IQ10's with and IQ60 center. this may change in the future but not soon. An svs sub will be added first. Any advise would be appreciated and I need to keep it around $600.

Thanks!

Dang.. never mind. I see now that they are closer to $800. Any ideas? I've always enjoyed yamaha's but am open to others.

Using code "techbargains" at Electronics Expo, you can p/u a Yammy A800 for $549.

Great! Thanks a ton AVRat. With the beefed up amp sections of the V1900... is it worth going for a more powerful though older receiver. My other choice was a Marantz 5004, but the user interface and the potential 'click of death' has me a bit nervous on that one.

Is the difference between the V867 and the a800 significant?

If you don't need/want many of the newer features, perhaps the 1900 is a better deal for you.

I'm no Yam officianado, but I'm not aware of any significant difference between 800/867.

Thanks again AVRat. I ended up picking up the v867 for $509 at E-expo using the code you gave me. I think I'll be able to use the networking capabilities this one has fairly often and the rest of the specs are pretty similar to the others, except the 1900... the only place I saw that was a questionable source on ebay. Appreciate all your help!
