It's a refurb, so if you're not put off by that....it's a great deal. I really enjoy my 2500. For 400 and change, that's a LOT of technology.

Tweeter has the RX-V2500 new in store (non-refurb) for $480. Not as good a deal, but still pretty good.

That's a very good 'in-store' deal, particularly for a new model. uBid has another 2500 up for $399 as well as a 659 for $299. Here's the RX-V2500 and here's the RXV-659, both excellent refurb deals. There's also a brand new 659 w/a two year warranty for another $50 here... -TD

Quite a few good deals there today. Also check out the Pioneer VSX-1016TXVK HDMI and 1080p pass through that is new and only $400 They only offer a 90day warranty

Unfortunately that's the one drawback to buying refurbed, rarely are you going to get the full mfgrs. warranty or comparable warranty.

On the flip side of this, there's quite a bit of savings to be had going this route and in my own personal experience w/uBid, I've had nothing but great luck. In fact, I just grabbed one of the 659s Wednesday for my bedroom setup and should have it early next week. If this purchase goes as well as a few others I've had through uBid, I'll be more than satisfied... -TD
