Yamaha rxv1

I have a Yamaha RXV1 and a Pioneer VSX1015TX. Since neither have hdmi, what would be the better reciever to use?

When new, the VSX1015TX list-priced for $650, while the RX-V1 listed for $2800. ’Nuff said.
