Hi,

I have a Yamaha RX385 amp for a few years now. It has been working flawlessly until yesterday when it started to turn off on its own after about 10 minutes. This behavior is not erratic. It happens regularly. Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks

If you have already checked all your connections on the back of the unit, sounds like it is toast. The most likely causes are a shorted speaker wire (stray wire touching at the receiver or at the speaker connection), a blown driver within a speaker, or a faulty receiver. Check, and double check your connections.
