I have read Genes reviews on the Yamaha Z9 and compared it with the review of the Z11 and big Denon models.
What was missing was measurement of the Z9s poweramp and preamp.
Does anyone here know where I can get them.
Reason for this is that I think the Z11 was a stepdown from the Z9.

Also any Z9 owners and Z11 owners that compared these 2 amps would love too hear what you think. Which one have the best ampsection?

I am very close too buy a Z9, so all info will be welcome.

Done some more research.

Back of Z9 it reads 1200VA and 1000W. This should feed 9 channels.

Back of Z11 it reads 1000VA and 800W. This should feed 11 channels.

Caps in Z9 is 2x28000 in 80V.
In Z11 the caps are 2x27000 and 75V.

So if all numbers stack up the Z9 should kick Z11 *** when it comes too the powerampsection.

Another thing i noticed is that the DAconverters in Z9 is BurrBrown1792 and in Z11 they are BurrBrown1796.
Which one of these DAconverters are considered the best ones?

Well in all honesty the Z11 beats the Z9 in All Channels Driven Test

this pdf file shows the bench test of the Z9

while this website shows the bench test of the Z11

If you did not want to have the new surround formats and do not care for HDMI then the Z9 is the way to go. But if you want the latest surround formats and HDMI then the Z11 is your receiver. Either way you go you will still win!

If i had the money i would get the Z11 but that is me!
