I have my new yamaha 863 setup with my panasonic blue ray, panasonic 50" 1080p plasma and cable box... Cable is running from the street to my cable box and then HDMI to the yammy, HDMI from there to the TV and to the Blue Ray.
I am trying to properly set up my Blue ray to work with my Yamaha at optimum performance... I have some questions???
1. Can the yamaha process signals with sampling frequencies of 96 kHz or should I scale it back to 48kHz? This is an option under the PCM Down Conversion application. Does it even matter?
2. Bitstream or BD-video....? I do not even know. As of now I set everything to be sent out as bitstream... should I go back to the other option...PCM?
3. How about component video resolution? Right now it is factory set at 480i and can go up to 1080i.
4. On the reciever for HDMI resolution it is factory pre-set at "through" which "does not upscale any analaog video signals" . My options are 480/576P which upscales to either or... 1080i, 1080p or 720p which upscales to either or....
I am sure there is stuff I am leaving out... but any suggestions would help a great deal!!!
Thanks,
Matt
