Long time lurker first time poster here.
I picked up a DTS 96/24 DVD the other day (Peter Gabriel - Play: The Videos) and am wondering if my Yamaha RX-V750 is decoding it properly.
On the receiver's front panel display the decoder indicator and the 96/24 indicator show that the receiver recognizes the DTS 96/24 signal, so far so good. However when I check the input source information by using the cursor down button on the remote it states the sampling frequency is 48 kHz though it also states the signal flag is DTS 96/24.
It's that 48 kHz that's causing me to scratch my head. Is that the way DTS 96/24 is supposed to work?
