Yamaha RX-V675 complaints about Ethernet & setup issues

I'm considering replacing my Denon AVR-1507 with one of these buy;

I read the Ethernet card seems to have problems. Either dropping connections and/or not connecting according to user reviews in Amazon. I counted at least a dozen with issues.

The other is complaints are about setup being confusing & complicated. One brought out you can't it without a TV (of some type). Around eight of those.

So you know, I dismiss most of Amazons reviews (same goes for Newegg) due to the reviewers stupidity, either typing the review or their problem. BUT, when there are numerous complaints about the same thing, that's different.

Comments?

Further research appears the Internet problem centerers around these 'streaming' services.

I would definitely pay attention to numerous complaints of the same problem.

I was looking on owners experience here one way or another.

There are only a few dozen regular participants here, and literally hundreds of AVRs on the market (including past models), so the odds of getting a lot of comments on any one of them is slim. But, maybe you’ll get lucky.

as the owner of 3 different Yamaha AVR models (RX-A2040, RX-A3000 & RX-A2000) I have not encountered this problem at all with a hard wire connection.

Frankly, I don't "stream" and don't really have plans to (AFAIK), at least at this time, so that isn't that important.

Sounds as just another 'feature' with problems on top of all the other problems Phoneywood had created with the obsessive, 'chock hold' with listening & watching anything that they think is "intellectual". :rolleyes:
