Yamaha RX-V659 vs RX-V661

I have been looking at the Yamaha 659 for a while and it seems to be a great deal from reviews that I have read. However it was mentioned to me that I might want to get the 661 for its HDMI switching. After looking around the 661 will cost me $100 bucks more than the 659, I would like to know if that the HDMI is worth the extra cash?

Also since this will be my first reciever if there is a different one I should look at in the same price range as the 661 please let me know.

The HDMI on the 661 is 1.2 and has Simplay. If you have a HD-DVD player, Blu-ray player or high resolution player (DVD-Audio and/or SACD) with HDMI output it would be worth the extra money, just my opinion.
