Yamaha RX-V659 or Pioneer Elite VSX-80tx

I have the opportunity to get the Elite for about $100 more than the Yamaha but I wasn't sure if it was worth the extra $. Can anyone give me some opinions on the two? I've heard the Pioneers sound a little better, a bit warmer to be more specific. Any comments? Any help is appreciated.

I suggest looking at the looking at the feature set and see which receiver best meets your needs. Don't try to tune your system sound by receiver choice, leave that to the speakers.

Speakers and your room is what gives you the sound, not modern receivers.
