G'day all! I'm having a problem with my Yamaha RX-V620 where if I choose the no effect setting I lose all channels but if I use headphones there isn't a problem. This implies to me a problem on the power amp side but why does it still give an output when effects are selected in normal operations? Would appreciate any advice you could offer! Thanks. MVEBFF.

When using no effect it should play only 2 channel sound from your main speakers. Is it possible you have your mains wired to the speaker B connections or presence speaker connections on the amp?

Without the headphones, select any DSP program. If you have speaker output sound from the Front speakers, then clicking "Effects" should replace the DSP program with Stereo and use on the Main speakers.

Are you sure you haven't press on the Multichannel button on the upper right of the remote?

Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the quick response guys!!! I've managed to find that my young son must have fiddled on the front panel and turned off the A & B speaker outputs. They're the tiniest buttons and I didn't realize they were in the off position. Cheers! Mvebff.
