I am interested in everyone’s thoughts on this (Refurbished) Yamaha RX-V575 Receiver. I currently have a Pioneer VSX- 1020 that I bought new about three years ago. Recently one channel on the B-Speakers, which I use a lot in the Spring and Fall to power some inside/outside speakers, went out so I’m shopping for a new Receiver. Before I bought the Pioneer I had a Yamaha RX-V750 and (though I thought one time that it had been struck by lightning it’s still going strong out in my shop) I would not have bought the Pioneer except I wanted HDMI connections. Anyway, I’m considering replacing the 1020 with the 575 and would appreciate everyone’s thoughts and opinions on this swap and the idea of buying refurbished. Thanks, http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/YAMRXV575BL/YAMAHA-RX-V575-7.2-Channel-Network-AV-Receiver-with-Airplay/1.html#!more

Don't you still need the HDMI? If so, pick up something else. I'm a lilttle confused. :)

Perhaps “I” am missing something here as well. Is the spec sheet with that Yamaha RX-V575 incorrect in showing 5/1 for HDMI connections? But “yes” I do still want HDMI connections and understood that the 575 did in fact have HDMI connections. I would be open to any and all suggestions on a new receiver but would like to stay in the $350.00-ish price range. I will say though that in hindsight I believe I like the old 750 Yamaha better than I do the Pioneer 1020 except of course for the HDMI connections thing. Thanks,
