Yamaha RX-V567 7.1 Receiver + Klipsch HD 500 5.1 Theater Speakers?

I can get both for $499. Is this a price I should not pass up, or something that is nothing more than a solid sale price? Would also like some feedback on these two items.

The two items at Amazon sell for $599 and $429 respectively.

The room is roughly 14x20 or so. Total price for both of them is $500 brand new.

Thats a decent price for what your getting. Those are very small speakers though, and they may struggle to fill your room. If you get them and find that they dont fit the room, you can either return them or just sell the Klipsch HD 500's online and keep the receiver.

On the other hand, if you arent going to take the deal and if you need to keep your budget for speakers + receiver at 500, you could also start by getting a pair of floorstanding speakers + a receiver, or bookshelf speakers + a sub + a receiver. You can get some great deals used and end up with a far better system then the HD 500's.

Hi, new guy here. I'm pretty amature with audio.

I was actually looking at same deal trying to figure out if both were good equipment. Except the price I saw was on newegg for $599. Is it possible to share where the 499 deal is?

I was looking for something in that price range for a 12x12 bedroom area. Using it mainly for blue ray movies and TV with occasional music. Is there a better set up for the money out there? I'm not partial to any main brands or wheather its HTiB(reciever/speakers) or bought seperately. Just looking to get best for my money.

The HD 500 is best suited in a smaller room such as bedroom. Any larger and you might have less than ideal sound. I have had no experience with those speakers or that receiver, but Klipsch makes some quality speakers, and some forum members here swear by Yamaha receivers.

I would check some reviews out for both products to get a more in depth look at the receiver and the speakers, and make a decision from there.

I have to suggest something, as long as you have a decent size room. Check buy.com for the HD 1000 theater system. Same prices as the 500 and is without shipping charges. I love mine and Ive had it for 2 weeks now. The sound is amazing so far and i can hear it from the end of my driveway. I have my speakers paired with a Onkyo TX-RS608.
