Yamaha RX-V473 5.1 Receiver firmware update trouble

I update to new firmware 114 by Internet, unfortunately it lost connection and receiver just display : " Time out" in 1 hour.
So I turn it off....and can't turn on anymore, even standby
Try to recover : Rom Error Message flashes when doing firmware update(website)

But nothing happen, receiver can't power up, even standby mode!!!
Help!!! Plsssssssss

I'd try and call their customer support. There might be a way you can update the FM with a flash drive in the USB. For the A-Series you can do the USB update see http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=ko&site=kr.yamaha.com&asset_id=52653

...I don't know if that will work for the 473. If not, you may need to take it to a service center.

That's not a process which you want to power off in the middle of, but I could understand your dilemma if the download times out. I have my fingers crossed for ya. Let us know how it turns out.

You're going to need to call customer service on this, and be prepaired, they may not be able to help you.

So keeping in mind that the firmware is what keeps everything running behind the scenes, it sounds like the firmware update became corrupt. With a corrupt firmware there is no interface for you to use to update to a non-corrupt firmware.

Fancier electronics and things that get updated more frequently have a bit of protection for this, but i don't think yamaha actually expects anyone to ever update their receivers firmware.
