I'm thinking of buying one.I'd love to hear your opinions on it, and if you could point me in the right direction to pick one up? I can't seem to find any E-tailers who are selling it. Thanks

We just received a review sample and Gene is completing power measurements on it before he goes into the actual review stage.

We got ours in yesterday and I came from my day off to go help set it up. Just as easy as the RX-V2500, but outta the box it sounds better than the 2500. HD radio is probably one of the cooler features. There is a big difference in the sound quality. I wish I could sell ya one, but it would have to be at full retail.

Did they give you any idea on when it's available to the rest of us? Thanks in advance.

Yes the 4600 is available now. Just depends on your Yamaha Dealer. I regret to say I can't sell the 4600 over the phone. As I mentioned to Cat daddy. We are an authorized Yamaha rep, so to sell out of our territory would cost us the line, and its a great line to have! My boss who's been around the bend a few times. Said the reason they don't do that is because they don't want to become the Harmon Kardon of Recievers.

Any more info available yet?

This new yamaha has the features I need and power my new Lsi15's need. My 1991-92 era Kenwood 7030 is struggling to say the least.

By the way this is my first post. I have been lurking for over a year now. I would just like to say thanks for such a great site and forum to all involved.

Any early tidbits the reviewer could reveal would be great.

BTW, I noticed that they finally have the 4600 info up. I had to download Acrobat V7 to open the PDF owner's manual and brochure, it kept triggering a script error with Adobe 5.
