Yamaha RX-V371 not giving video from my VCR

I just bought the stereo receiver and I tried to connect my Memorex VCR to it with composite cables. I cannot get any video but I do get sound. I have tested the video directly to the TV and it works fine. I am using taped videos (not copyright protected ones). I have tried using 2 other VCRs with the same result. Video from my cable terminal and PS3 are working fine. Any ideas or suggestions.

Being a very entry level model, it is more than likely it doesn't do analog video->hdmi conversion.

How is your receiver connected to your tv? I agree with Phillip, you won't get analog video via hdmi on that receiver.
