Yamaha RX-V365 Unable to output video using component or composite cables

I have been tasked with configuring a conference room for my company. The equipment has been here for ages, well before I was hired, but never hooked up correctly. We have a projector and a TV. I connected the TV to the HDMI output on the Yamaha RX-V365 receiver, used an HDMI input from a laptop and everything worked great as expected. Next I connected the projector using the component cables since this receiver only has one HDMI output, and the projector doesn't have any HDMI inputs. I couldn't get any video. I used a second cable to connect to a small TV just to ensure that the cable, which is run through the walls wasn't the issue. I couldn't get any video. I tried using the composite cables with the composite connections on the TV with the same results. What am I missing? I used to have a similar receiver at home and hated it, gave it to my son and it promptly blew up, so I got an Onkyo.

Have you checked the manual to see that it can take the hdmi input from your laptop and downconvert to legacy connections like component/composite? Check your avr manual?

I found my answer about 5 minutes after I posted that. It was something I actually knew, but had forgotten and didn't even think about.
