yamaha rx-v3000 speaker distance settings on surround rear and back center

Hi Everyone Iam new to this . Cant seem to get info on this unit. need to know how set rear and rear center speaker distances or delays alot there to play with for a new guy any help at all from someone who has this unit would be greatly welcomed. Mark

Hi AVRat got the maunual not reel clear to me . I too use carver amps tfm-35x's on all chanels dbx pro eqs 1231s and 1215 front and rear center jbl hp-520 towers front mains , rear surounds .s-38s for front effects and rear center.Got a big room 28x17 ft. use a dod rta to setup eqs. great sound. I just never understood the speaker set up.at all guys at yamaha not a real help. Thamks Mark

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of speaker distance/delay settings except for the center/rear center, pg 43. For each foot of distance difference from the L/R add 1ms of delay. L/R-10ft, Center-9ft, delay=1ms.

Since there's no adjustability for the side surrounds, if possible you'd want to place them the same distance from the listening position as the mains.

Sorry I can't be of more help. This is a relatively older unit with limited capabilities.
