I have a number of WPL playlists on my media server, all residing in the \Shared Document\Shared Music folder.
Each WPL began life as a flatfile M3U, was brought into Windows Media Player 11, then saved from there as a WPL. Other than the filename and individual track pointers, there is no discernable XML formatting difference between the files, near as I can tell by examining each in WordPad.
The problem is, the Yamaha recognizes all of the playlists, but only displays and plays the content of two of the WPLs. When using the Yamaha's menu to drill down into the WPLs, the same two files are the only ones that display the individual tracks; all the others display nothing.
I've also tried M3Us, with the same result. Either something is flaky on the Yamaha side, or on the MS WMP side...I can't begin to tell which.
ALSO: If anyone from Yamaha sees this post, please note that the remote control unit has a SEVERE lag time between pressing a button and action taking place. Often I have to repeat the button sequence twice, sometimes more, before the 2700 responds. AND the controller is almost completely useless when managing a large digital music collection; the remote being DESPARATELY in need of a responsive scroll wheel. What I'd like to see is a controller redesign for the next network receiver iteration, with the controller being backward-compatible with the 2700 and available for separate purchase.
