Yamaha RX-V2600 or wait for RX-V2700?

I watch 98% movies and as cool as the network feature is I would not use.
The 2700 does not have THX certifaction ( if that is important?) and the 2600 doesn't have "Anchor Bay Technologies' ABT1010 scaler engine" witch sounds neat but will it evan help?
The 1080p pass through will not help me as well seeing that my tv is a few years old and only has a DVI port on the back so i will have to addapt the HDMI to DVI anyway.
I can also assume that I can get the 2600 for a nice price seeing as the 2700 is just around the corner!
The only other differance between the two that bothers me is that the 2700 has 10 watts per channel more power than the 2600.

Any input would rock
I really font want to wait for the 2700 as well :)

Unless the 2700 comes with more fearures that appeal to you to justify the price difference, I would stay with the 2600. As far as the 2700 having 10 more watts than the 2600, please don't lose any sleep over it. The extra 10 watts means absolutely nothing, as in zilch, as in in a big fat 0 as far as performance goes.

I don't see a huge performance leap fro mthe 2600 to the 2700, as there was from 2500 to 2600. I'd say when the 2600 goes on clearance, bargain with the dealer to get an even better deal.

Will the "Anchor Bay Technologies' ABT1010 scaler engine" make a differance in the overall video proformance of the 2700 vs the 2600?

I had some problems with my 2600 - I wouldn't recommend. The GUI interface cuts off, the unit overheats, etc. I got one of the first ones, maybe that's why the hassle...
