Yamaha RX-V2600 Issue - Help?

After owning my Yamaha RX-V2600 for six months, I just developed an issue with it - any suggestions? When playing back music CDs or DVDs, and using the remote to increase or lower the volume, the back L&R speaker sorrounds go out completely... The front L&R, as well as the center remain fine.

If I keep playing with the volume button (up and down), I often get the back L&R speakers back, but then they go back out if I try to lower or increase the volume. If I don't touch the volume, things are fine.

I already checked all the connections, as well as tried many dvd's and music CD's - same issue recurrs.

Any clues/suggestions? Thanks!

Strange behavior, indeed. What surround processing mode are you in when it does this? Have you tried changing modes?

Hi rjbudz - in all modes really... It started in the 7ch Stereo mode, and then I checked other modes - in all the back L&R cut out completely unless I play around with the volume control! I can't understand it...
