I just set up a Yamaha RX-V2500 for a friends home theater. Everything went well and it works great. i have wired the presence channels to a seperate zone and set it to internal amps and variable volume. I can hear the proper sources coming out the second zone speakers but at a very low volume level. I can find no way to adjust the second zone volume on the reciever front panel or the remote. Anyone know how to do it? Thanks for the help.

I saw that. That takes care of the remote. I don't see why it's not set up like that out of the box. Thanks for the help.

The front panel lets me turn on/off zone 2 and set the source for it. But I don't see a way to adjust volume on the font panel.

This thread might be a bit old, but I decided to join this forum to post this after I spend 2 hours trying to find out how to setup the remote and change the volume on Zone 2.

After you have setup you remote (see below), you press the ^ next to the display on your remote. This will switch to Zone 2, and you can now control the zone 2 amp. ie. you can turn it off with the standby button, and switch between inputs.

To go back to you main amp, simply press down so the display will read system and you now control the main amp.

Remote setup:
Switch the button on the side of the remote to SOURCE
Press the (power) AV button at the top of the remote.
Use a pen to hold down the learn button at the buttom of the remote until the display on the remote changes.
Now use your left and right buttons to go to L:AMP
Press ENTER -> a number appears in the display.
Press 2 0 0 1
Press ENTER
Press Learn.

Your remote should now be setup and you can control Zone 2 as descriped above.

probably very old news for some, but I was unable to find anything about it anywhere.
