Picked up this receiver recently. Every once in a while (about once every 10-20 times), when I hit the standby button on the remote to turn it off (button next to the power button), the lights go out on the receiver (so you think it's off) but it does not shut down.
It stays warm and is using power.
I don't use the power button on the receiver much. It has not failed to shut off when I shut it off that way, but I have not used it enough to know.
I was listening for a click (relays dropping?), thinking it had shut down if it did, but I think I heard the click yesterday and it was warm sometime later.
Q: Is there anything wrong with the receiver?
Q: Is there something I don't know that can eleviate the problem?
Q: If there is something wrong, is it something I can fix (I'm fairly handy)?
Ideas?
BTW: I like the receiver except for this issue. It's a step up from a mid grade Pioneer I was using. I have it in a home office, connected to a pair of Infinity RS3's, a pair of RS2's and a 12" Infinity subwoofer.
