Read page 73 of your manual. Basically you have to set up your remote as if you are entering a manufacturers code, but your choose zone 2 after setting your "rec out/zone 2" dial to "source remote" on your receiver. Once you have set up your remote it should allow you to change the volume, souce etc for zone 2. Conversely, you may want to install another receiver/amp in the second zone and then use the 2400 as a preamp.
