Yamaha rx-v2400 question

I connected my outside speakers to the zone2 speaker outs and now I need to know what to do to get sound. The manual is not very clear. Thanks for the replies.

If you are using the internal amps, you need to go into the menu and get to the Zone 2 menu and turn on the internal amps to drive that zone.

Also, the Zone 2 red indicator light must be illuminated on the front panel display.

I only just bought the Yamaha RX-V650 and I did notice the red "zone2 display" is lit up when you first power up the AV. Now I'd assume this would mean the feature is ON but when I checked the settings by going into the options menu and scrolling down to "E" (this may trick you becasue orginally I was thinking where the hell is E?) Then switch Zone 2 speakers to the "ON" position.

I turned the zone 2 on, but i'm only getting sound from the tuner selection. I tried dvd and sat/rec and get nothing. Any suggestions?

Do you have analog audio (Red & White RCA cables) hooked up from your cable/dvd boxes? Zone 2 only accepts analog audio.
