Yamaha RX-2400 parametric without YPAO?

I've read through the manual and didnt see answers to these questions:

Is there any way I can use the parametric EQ in my RX-V2400 without doing the automatic setup? The reason I ask is I do not have the YPAO mic, but do have a radioshack meter and could take the measurements on my own.

Another question is can I reset the unit so that any previous settings (in/outs and EQs) get reset?

Thanks,
Nick

Yamaha PEQ

Nick,
I have a lower end yamaha (HTR-5860) and it has an option for a manual fixed band EQ in place of the automatic PEQ. On mine, there is also a way to turn the PEQ On and Off in the setup menu. Many people are not too impressed with the capabilities of the auto EQ, so I wouldn't worry about this feature too much.
Check the manual online for the factory reset procedure. Ususllay you have to hold down a couple buttons when you power on the receiver.

Yeah I've used the graphical EQ, but I was hoping to be able to manually implement the parametric EQ. I'm not sure if that's possible (doesn't seem like it unfortunately).
If I make measurements with the YPAO system, can I adjust them myself afterwards?

You should be able to go to the graphical EQ section and select parametric EQ while there.
