Hello guys,
I have a couple questions about this receiver:
1. I know this receiver is kind of old-school, but would it support a modern day 7.1 set-up? Someone is selling it (in excellent working condition) on my local Craigslist for very cheap ($200 vs. $1700 new!).
2. Is 550 watts enough to power a couple speakers for a while? I eventually plan on having a complete set-up, but in the mean time, I only have a couple of leads:
-2 JBL L830 bookshelf speakers
-1 B&W VM1 speaker (intended for use as a center channel)
-1 B&W ASW300 sub
Would I need an amp in addition to the receiver for now? Thanks for any help!
