Yamaha Rx-v1500 - Lfe Level Setting

Any advice on what the LFE level should be set at? Not sure if it's supposed to be set on the low end (-20) or high end (0). Thanks.
 
Just make sure you don't have your subwoofer amp maxed out and give yourself some room to raise and lower the levels a bit using the receiver. This lets you bump it up a bit when desired or lower it if there's too much.

Clint, thanks for the response. What I've been trying to figure out the last few weeks is that the volume on this receiver has to be at -40 or -30 for dialogue to be audible (clearly) while watching dvd's. When music is played in the background (on dvd's) it's pretty audible. Is this the norm? I've been trying to tweek the settings in order to increase dialogue. Thanks. PS - I've been setting the LFE levels to -10.

Experiment with the center speaker setting. Try upping it some and see how the dialogue is then.
