Just a question, if i have all of my speakers set to small, and and sub/lfe sent to subwoofer, does the receiver handle the crossover for the sub? in other words, does it only send 90hz and lower to the sub? I read in the manual 90 and up go to the other speakers when set to small. just not sure if i need the crossover on the subwoofer or not?

also, not sure if this is how its supposed to work, but when i set the sub/lfe to "both" i get no bass out of the mains, whether they are set to large or not. seems like a flaw in the receiver to me...anyone know about this?

If you set your speakers to small with sub then you are effectively re-directing the bass to your sub. The way it was explained to me is set speakers to small, crossover avr at 80Hz then turn your sub up all the way to highest setting, this kills the x-over on the sub and lets your avr send the signal to each speaker.:)

Hope this helps. BILL

yeah that helps, but there is no selectable xover point on the receiver. im guessing it just sets 90hz and thats it. i hope anyway.

90Hz on your avr should be fine. This means more LFE or bass will be sent to sub and less to speakers it's all a matter of taste and the lower the x-over means more bass will go to speakers. One last thing re-check your avr manual, there has to be a setting control to adjust your crossover and the 80Hz I suggested works for me?:)
