I recently acquired this avr and it has no sound whatsoever, would it be worth repairing ?

Depends on what it costs to repair and what you plan on using it for. It's a ~10 year old receiver which you could probably buy in working condition for a couple of hundred dollars at most.

Might be interesting to know what you did to try setting it up first to make sure its not functional.

It's a decently featured receiver, as long as you're not needing the latest stuff. May not even be repairable depending on what's needed....many brands just don't stock the boards this long after release. I see a couple sold in the $500 neighborhood on ebay, and people are asking 700-1000 too...

EBay or as I like to call it. FleeceBay have some decent sellers and a whole raft of greedy scam artists.
