So I bought this thing off Craigslist for $50.00 from a guy who just acquired it. He said he couldn't get sound out of it at all but figured he didn't have it setup correctly. Anyways everyday when I fire this up it takes a couple minutes for it to start producing constant sound. When I first fire it up nothing happens than randomly the speaker indicator lights on it will blink and I will get sound for a moment. It will continue this for a few minutes till it starts to work properly. Any ideas?
It doesn't matter the input or source iv selected. The thing works great after it goes through this initial warm up period. Firmware is up to date and arc is off. Iv tried everything I can think of. Any ideas appreciated

that's an amazing, no make that unbelievable, price for a RX-A2000, even if has issues. are sure u didn't mean $500.00 dollars? if u did buy it for $50 dollars I would send it to a local authorized Yamaha repair shop. it probably needs the sound board (solder open) replaced. even if they they charge u $250 your still ahead of the game.

Yup. It was $50.00 I was super stoked when I got it home and it worked. It sat on Craigslist for 150.00 for 3 weeks than when I called he said he couldn't get it to work. I told him I'd gamble on it for$50.00 and he went for it! Anyways its replacing a minty rx-v1800 but it has so many more features I needed (wanted). Thanks for the input. I figured something was going south on it. I just hope I can find someone local who can fix it. I live in a somewhat small town and it's pretty lame when it comes to this kind of stuff.
