You need to hook up your speaker wires to the terminals labeled "zone 2". Next you need to go into the menu and switch the speakers from "none" to "zone 2". Keep in mind that zone 2 only accepts analog sources, so if you're only running spdif from your CD player, it will not play. It may be slightly different from my Yamaha 863, but the manual should go in-depth on how to correctly set up zone 2.
