Yamaha RX-1500 problem i can not figure out

My reciever was working great, this morning when i tried to play BD movie using PS3 only my back speakers and subwoofer are working and i can not hear any dialog only surround sound from back speakers.

I ran test using remote and only time i hear sound is when it goes to back speakers otherwise there is no sound from front speakers and center speaker. Please help.

I changed few settings in PS3 audio, do you think that could have damaged something

Please help.

Some questions for you to get the ball rolling:

1. Did you physically move anything around between when the front three speakers were working and now?
2. Are you using an external amplifier for the front three speakers?

Thank you, this forum is great i have been reading post but never thought of becoming member but now i can use some help.

No, i have not touched anything. Last night i was watching youtube video which talked about improving your ps3 performance by changing audio settings i did that using remote; after that i completed BD movie till then everything was working great. The problem started this morning.

Have you tried using the AVR's level calibration tone to test all the channels yet?

RX-1500 Problem

if i connect my front speakers to Zone B front then everything works....not sure what is going on?

The 1500 has an A/B front speaker selector. (Bottom left corner in the front.)
It sounds to me like you have the B selection on while your speakers are connected to the A posts. That would explain the fronts.
Are you sure you the receiver set-up hasn't been altered to think there is no center speaker?

Nope i have not change any settings, earlier it was all connected to zone A but after the problem i took front speakers and connected to Zone B and selected ZONe A+B and now front and back both are working including center...
