Yamaha remote

I purchase a yamaha rx-v1500 receiver and everything is great except for one thing the REMOTE it has buttons on it that has the text almost the same color as the button which makes it impossible to read, and the remote that I got is not backlit which I have read the same complaint about the 2500 but the keypad is supposed to be backlit on the 2500 and shows up the buttons better. does anyone have the same remote with the same complaint. I am ready to get a black sharpie pen an trace the text with black ink.

i read that complaint about the 2500 but it isnt as bad as I read. at least to me.

Well, the 2500 has a different issue. It is backlit, but the text on many of the buttons is a funky sealime green -- so you can't read it anyway when it is backlit. What the backlight does help with is finger positioning in a dark room -- once you learn where the buttons are.
