Alright - newbie questions:
I have a Yamaha HTR-5740 with the following specs:
*(0.06% THD, 20Hz-20kHz, 8ohms)
*Front: 85W +85W
*Center: 85W
*Surround: 85W + 85W
*Surround Back: 85W
And the following RCA speakers RT2500 series:
Fronts and center: 80-120W, 6ohms
rears (2): 80-120W, 6ohms
Since my Yamaha Reciever is 6.1, I added another RCA (RT2580 series) to use as another rear speaker. It rated at: 8ohms.
Any problems with using this setup? I hooked it up and it seems to work OK - just don't want to mess it up.
Also my subwoofer only has the 2 speaker wire ends but the receiver has a subwoofer RCA plug in. Since I didn't have a solder tool, I simply used an additional speaker port to plug the subwoofer into. It seems to work, but probably to full power. I tried to splice a RCA plug w/ wires with my subwoofer wires, but it didn't work when I plugged it into the reciever that way... Any advice..?
