Yamaha receiver RX-V665 problems

Our Sony Bravia TV (hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V665 stereo receiver) intermittently turns black and we loose audio. Typically, it comes back on in a few seconds, then we can expect it to happen immediately afterward and sometimes it will stop and behave for the rest of the evening. When the TV screen and audio go out, the Yamaha receiver is displaying 'Decoder Off'.
Lately, the TV screen is black and audio is out for longer periods of time (several minutes) and sometimes we don't get picture back until the next day.

Any ideas?

If that doesn't work try resetting the receiver or try setting the OHM to 4 to keep the heat down.

Do you happen to have DirecTV? Does this happen when using a DVD/BD player?
