I set up my Xbox One S for Atmos using the various instructions online for my Yamaha TSR-7850 set up with a 5.1.2 configuration:
- Xbox set to Bitstream, and Bitstream format is Dolby Atmos for home theater.
- Installed the Atmos app on Xbox.
Now all games, the dashboard, streaming movies, and everything on Xbox shows Atmos/PCM on the front panel of the receiver. When playing Atmos content, nothing changes on the front panel. Still says Atmos/PCM.
I set it to "straight" bypassing the DSP, and no change. As long as the Xbox is on, it always shows Atmos/PCM.
Why is it stuck on PCM? I thought it's supposed to say Atmos/something else.
Can someone with a Yamaha receiver confirm this when playing Atmos content?
