Yamaha Receiver Issues

My mother has a Yamaha HTR-5630 Receiver that is working intermittently. Within 10 seconds the receiver will shut off into stanby mode, wether or not the amp is working to put out music.

Right now it's working great - sounds pretty decent when I hook up my Sennheiser headphones to it. Very wierd that it's working now!

I'm thinking it's the fuse that needs to be replaced...but after opening it up the fuse seems to be fine. I may be wrong though.

Any suggestions? Thanks :)

Yes. Unhook the speaker for a while and just use the headphone. See if it goes into standby. You either have an internal short, or an external one in the speaker wires or the speakers themselves. It appears to be an intermittent short:D
